What is happiness? How do we achieve it? The definition of happiness varies across different classes. One can conceive of two types of happiness: material and spiritual. My opinion is this: The spiritual happiness is much more vital than that of material and doing is much more fundamental than imagining.
First of all, a happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but a person with a certain set of attitudes. In other words, it is difficult for anyone to accomplish what he wants to without a great deal of effort...After a long and arduous effort, though he may accomplish what he has hoped, there is nothing left but suffering and pain, because of the enormous effort expended. This trap can be easily avoided. To reach the happiness they seek, the only thing they should do is to change their attitude toward happiness, namely, the way they look at the world around them.
Second, happiness exists not in having or being, but rather in doing. Most people try to find their unique happiness through imagination and daydreams. Obviously, everyone fantasies sometimes."But, without actions, no one can come close to finding the happiness he seeks. Happiness and bliss cannot be found merely through daydreams, but must be sought through actions, through doing.
Min summary, happiness is more attainable than people might expect. People ought not to waste time and effort searching for peace, contentment, and joy in the world outside. There is no happiness in having or in getting, but only in giving. People must reach out, share, smile, and hug one another.Happiness is a perfume one cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on oneself .
