When talking about a piece of artwork, I think it's worth mentioning a theatrical mask of Beijing Opera. It's a gift from my father. He travelled to Beijing many years ago and brought it back for me. As is known to all, Beijing Opera is the quintessence of China. Chinese people like it not only because of its melody and the way of singing, but also the actors' stage appearance. My mask is just like the actor's face. The handicraftsmen used many colours to draw this mask, so it looks quite brightcoloured and exquisite. But it is not the reason why I like it. In fact, I love this mask because it has an interesting feature. Usually, people see the mask as a smiling face, but if you upend it, you will find it is also a sad face. It makes me associate it with our lives. The world is colourful, but people still have to experience lots of happiness and sadness during their lifetime.
