范文：

Many believe that the Dragon Boat Festival(端午节) originated in ancient China based on the suicide(自杀) of the poet and statesman of the Chu kingdom, Qu Yuan in 278 BCE.

The Dragon Boat Festival is a celebration where many eat rice dumplings (粽子), drink realgar wine (雄黄酒), and race dragon boats. Other activities include hanging icons of Zhong Kui (a mythic guardian figure), hanging mugwort (艾蒿)and calamus(菖蒲), taking long walks, writing spells and wearing perfumed medicine bags(香囊).

All of these activities and games such as making an egg stand at noon were regarded by the ancients as an effective way of preventing(防止) disease, evil, while promoting good health and well-being. People sometimes wear talismans to fend off(抵御) evil spirits or they may hang the picture of Zhong Kui, a guardian against evil spirits, on the door of their homes.

In the Republic of China, the festival was also celebrated as "Poets' Day" in honor of Qu Yuan, who is known as China's first poet. Chinese citizens traditionally throw bamboo leaves filled with cooked rice into the water and it is also customary to eat tzungtzu and rice dumplings.

Honestly I haven’t thought about this much. The one and only great change I can think of now is leaving school. Look, after going to school for more than 16 years, all of my life has been so used to school, my daily schedule, my mindset, my social life, etc. The world outside the school seems so familiar and yet so strange. My feelings are mixed with ambition, hope, expectation, as well as uneasiness, insecurity and worries. It is such a difficult time. When I was on my way home yesterday afternoon, I was boring so Iconnected my cellphone with the internet. Then I received the daily electronicnewspaper from Wechat. The FrontPage of the newspaper was about a governmentofficer’s being accused for corruption. Someone posted the evidence of hiscorruption on the internet, then he was investigated. I was so glad to receivethis kind of news since some government officers did not do a good job in theirwork. A public servant should work diligently in an honest and clean way andabide by laws and regulations when performing his duties. Theybuild their own social relationship in order to gain more money from differentways. In the past, people did not have a good way to supervise these governmentofficers. They should know that their behaviours are disciplined by law and watchedby people.
