What is the most valuable period throughout one's whole lifetime? Undoubtedly, youth, namely, one's teenage period will be the best memory one ever has. However, some teenagers cannot enjoy their brief dream at school; instead they spend most of their youth in prison. This essay will focus on the problems of these young criminals.
The roots of juvenile delinquency are the fact that teenagers can hardly tell right from wrong. Generally, three main factors will influence the youth constantly: Firstly, every single person has unique personality of his own, which makes many possibilities of doing anything in a sudden impulse. In other words, it is easy for any kid to be tempted to do something wrong in order to fight against their parents. Secondly, one's situation at home and in school determines one's personality to some extent.Without a complete family, single-parent children tend to hurt others or themselves with the purpose of self-protection and defense.Last but not least, changeable society makes even the adults confused about what happiness and dreams are and how they can accomplish the target, let alone kids without any social experience and lack of social practice.
Admittedly, someone who makes mistakes shall shoulder whatever they should. However, the way to punish those young criminals needs prudent consideration. Personally, education is more effective and efficient than physical punishment like jail or prison penalties, for they break the law accidently because they are misled or lured by others.Facing those teenagers who should be taken good care of both physically and psychologically, please recall the fact that they are the future of the human race.
All in all, coping with juvenile delinquency needs more than just punishment, as a saying goes that educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all. To educate those teenagers, there is still a long way to go.
