教育类托福作文

托福教育类作文

With the rapid development of society, more and more elites are required for advanced science and technology. So how to improve the quality of higher education becomes an emergency problem for universities. Some people still maintain that universities should spend money on salaries for university professors. However, I think universities should prefer to take multiple methods to improve the quality of education rather than just spending money on professors. My view point is based on the following reasons and examples.

Firstly, as a boast enrollment in universities nowadays, there are so many students attending college that will require more funding and resource. Universities should employ more faculties, purchase more facilities to cope with the increasing population in campus. Only that happens that every student will get equal chance to gain knowledge and share the colorful campus life. For instance, when I was a fresh student in my college, owing to so many students want to study in library that I need to get up early and rush the way to get a seat. Limited seats in the library influences students' study passion which leads to the decline of the quality of education in the end. So the most important thing to improve quality of education is to make the facilities prefect.

What's more, universities should hold some international communicating meetings and introduce professors who are talented, knowledgeable and prestigious. For example, my university will invite some famous professor to give speech every semester. So students can have more opportunities to share the advanced achievements directly and communicate with the professors who are famous in their interested field. I think that will inspire students' creativity, intelligence and imagination which is needed in the college study, then they will contribute more to the university and the society.

Admittedly, universities should also increase the salaries for professors. A college teacher is more responsible for the quality of education because college life maybe the last stage of students' study period before taking a job. However, improve the facilities and equipment, design attracting courses, introducing famous professors or provide more resources for students like holding international communicating meetings, all these strategies will improve the quality of education.

All in all, universities should not only spend money on salaries for university professors. If universities have enough money, they should take a variety of ways to improve the quality of education, such as employing more faculties or holding some international communicating meetings.

儿童教育类托福作文

The traditional virtue of honesty in all situations is increasingly doubted by many in today’s world. Many believe that being honest is not always the best policy when dealing with people and shall not be shared with children. Be that as it may, this essay will explore the importance of being honest in relationships between people.

Undeniably, Sharing values of being honest exposes children to the cruel world. We all understand that often the truth is offending and may not be a very nice thing to both hear or say. Even, many would agree that if a company is to tell the absolute truth about it’s products, no one would be interested in even having a look at the products. The same logic also applies to human relationships. if your friend had worn a newly purchased dress on her birthday and energetically asked you if it was a worthy buy, would you freely express your opinion that you had never seen a dress as the one she’s currently wearing? and spoil her birthday? unarguably, hiding(entirely or particularly) the truth in some situations can be quite handy indeed. confrontations and disputes can seemingly be avoided.

However, there is always the risk factor of the truth emerging sooner or later when telling an untruth. the basic trust in any relationships friends, parents and children will be blotched, and would have an impact on the future relationship between both parties. the story of the “the boy who cried wolf” fully illustrates the consequences of telling lies. no one will believe you when you’re telling the truth. Therefore, after presenting the value of honesty to children, they will avoid falling in the dilemma.

In addition, another “bad factor” of telling untruths is that you have absolutely no control over when the truth will emerge. untruths breed pain in both parties: tears when the truth is uncovered after a period of time; in the long run, it seems that hiding the truth is not beneficial to either party. In contrast, delivering the value of being honest to children, children will have no worries of fearing the truth to be exposed. Therefore, the life will be easier than those choosing to cover up the secrets.

Everyone hates betrayal. even if it is the trend to occasionally hide the truth in relationships, it is strongly recommended that not to follow that trend as the risk and the consequences of the truth unfolded overwhelms the minimal advantages one can derive from not telling the truth. After all, it is understood that relationships are founded on “trust” which goes hand in hand with “truth”. Indeed honesty is the most important consideration in any relationship between people. As a result, this value should be shared greatly.

Agree or disagree: Some people think students should be allowed to evaluate their teachers’ job performance.

In this day and age, it is standard practice for business executive to fill out performance-evaluation forms to give their assessment of their subordinates’ work. But when it comes to the evaluation of school teachers’ job performance by their students, people hold divergent views. Some argue that

students should be allowed to do so. Others contend that disrespect and indiscipline will ensue if students evaluate their teachers work. Personally, I believe both these two views have some merit.

Granted, there could be some possible drawbacks to students evaluating their teachers’ work. First, if not well-managed, evaluation by the students may be completely worthless or even misleading. It is manifest that not all students would give their evaluation responsibly and some students may make mean comments. Secondly, some students criticize their teacher not because their teachers have a slack attitude about their job. Rather they do so because they dislike or even despise schooling.

However, encouraging students to evaluate their teacher can bring about more boons. In the first place, it is an effective means of motivating the teachers to improve their lectures. Teachers have to keep adjusting their teaching to measure up to the expectations of the student. In the second place, regular input affords the teacher objective and balanced ideas about their own performance. Without such feedback, it is hard for the teacher to have accurate assessment of their own teaching. In the third place, a measure of students’ autonomy can make the studentbetter prepared for their adult life. The student becomes better at decision-making and critical thinking.
