If we have much time to do such volunteer work, of course, all the three choices are meaningful to some extent. But when I only have limited time or just have the chance to do one thing, the dispensation of food will be my firstchoice. The main reason is that, in my perspective, we need to first meet people's basic need which is feeding. Only when we do not have concerns of getting us feeded, we could start to think of entertaining. If you ask a hungry childwhether it needs a playground or a sausage, it will answer you with no doubt, I want the sausage. I would like to give him two solutions.

The first one is to reduce his workinghours because as a student the main goal is study. I think he should talk tothe manager for shorter working time to guarantee at least 7 to 8 hours sleepper day. 8 hours’ sleep is a must forhigh efficiency study.

The second one is to practice meditatingwhich is a perfect way to help improve the quality of sleep. I recommend him toclear his mind by meditating 15-20 minutes before he hits the sack. Mediationhelps reduce stress and may evenreduce cortisol levels.

托福口语高分技巧：加强语音和语调

我注意到一个事实：托福口语拿到高分，比如说26分-30分的考生有共同的三大优点：

1、他们的语音语调比较标准，或者说非常标准。

2、他们的语言表达非常的流利连贯。

3、他们在考场上表现的自信和大方。

对于正在备考的朋友来说，这三大优点，是完全可以提前培养好的。我给大家推荐的一个方法--"语段朗读法"。用这个方法练发音，要注意六点：

(1)段子的难度要适中!比如，你不要拿GRE阅读来练发音朗读。要想清楚，你要做的朗读段子练发音，而不是练阅读理解。

(2)这个阅读材料要有一个漂亮的音频跟它相匹配，这样你跟着音频去跟读，去朗读。

(3)了解语音语调知识。比如说哪些音和哪些音容易混淆。

(4)朗读时，声音要端坐挺胸、大声清晰、音调准确。

(5)你在读这个东西的时候，你可以把它录下音来，让你周围的朋友，英语发音比较好的朋友去帮你听一听，把你的错误给你挑出来。

(6)阅读的材料，不在于你读了多少段，而在于在读每一段，每一遍，你是不是有所改进。你把10-20个段子，每个段子都读得特别棒，就OK了。

通过一段时间的朗读练习，你的英语口语会从形式上得到巨大改观。把这种"朗读的感觉"利用到考前练题和考场答题，你的答案就能从众多考生的答案里"脱颖而出"，从而得到口语高分。
