动词原形之所以叫动词原形是因为其就是“原形”,没有附加上任何信息——时间信息、状态信息,所以其不能出现在任何句子、任何短语之中。下面小编告诉你英语原型动词的用法,大家一起来看看吧!
英语原型动词的用法:
可以说理解了“动词原形”本质,也就理解了“非谓语动词”的本质,进一步也就理解了“英语时态”的本质。
首先看下面的句子,请选出你认为是动词原形的句子序号:
1. You eat an apple every day.
2. Do you eat an apple every day?
3. You ate an apple every day.
4. Did you eat an apple every day?
5. She eats an apple every day.
6. Does she eat an apple every day?
7. You will eat an apple every day.
8. Will you eat an apple every day?
9. I want to eat an apple.
10. To eat is human, to digest, divine.
11. She is eating an apple.
12. Eating apples is good for your health.
你也许选择了1、2、4、6、7、8......,可以告诉大家都选错了,这6句中就没有一个动词原形。
大家会觉得不可能,认为我们从小学开始学英语,老师告诉我们这些就是动词原形,其实中国的英语教育从学英语的最开端“动词原形”概念的理解开始就一路错了下来,一直错到了今天。
英语原型动词的用法
那么什么是动词原形呢?
1. 动词原形有点像没穿“衣裤”的小孩,光溜溜的不敢见人,只能躲在家(词典)里。
注:动词原形,没有时间没有状态,不能出现在句子或者短语之中。
2. 这个小孩穿上裤子后,就敢在家院前后奔来跑去。
注:动词原形穿上裤子(第一件衣服——状态)后,成为非谓语动词,可以做谓语动词之外的任何句子成分。
3. 这个小孩穿上衣服后,就敢上街去学校了。
注:动词原形继续穿上衣服(第二件衣服——时间)后,成为了有时有态的谓语动词。
通过以上分析可以看出,凡是出现在句子或者短语中的动词,其都不是动词原形,要么是非谓语动词,要么是谓语动词。
把上面的例句分析如下:
1. You eat an apple every day.
此处的eat为谓语动词,隐含的时间助动词do表示现在时间,eat为一般态;
2. Do you eat an apple every day?
此处的Do eat为谓语动词,Do表示现在时间,eat一般态;
3. You ate an apple every day.
此处的ate为谓语动词,隐含的时间助动词did表示过去时间,ate还原为一般态eat;
4. Did you eat an apple every day?
此处的did eat为谓语动词,Did表示过去时间,eat一般态;
5. She eats an apple every day.
此处的eats为谓语动词,隐含的时间助动词does表示现在时间,eats还原为一般态eat;
6. Does she eat an apple every day?
此处的does eat为谓语动词,does表示现在时间,eat一般态;
7. You will eat an apple every day.
此处的will eat为谓语动词,will表示将来时间,eat一般态;
8. Will you eat an apple every day?
此处的will eat为谓语动词,will表示将来时间,eat一般态;
9. I want to eat an apple.
此处的want 为谓语动词,want前隐藏了时间助动词do,to eat an apple为非谓语动词短语作为want 的宾语。
10. To eat is human, to digest, divine.
此处的is为谓语动词(系动词),is表达现在时间,句首的to eat 为非谓语动词做主语,本身并不包含时间内涵。
11. She is eating an apple.
此处的is eating 为谓语动词,is 表达现在时间, eating为非谓语动词进行态。
12. Eating apples is good for your health.
此处的is为谓语动词(系动词),is表达现在时间,eating apples为非谓语动词短语(进行态)做主语,本身并不包含时间内涵。
英语Be动词用法:
一、be 动词做系动词
1、系动词+表语”的结构
当be 动词做系动词使用时,主要构成“系动词+表语”的结构,在句子中做谓语。表语可以是名词、形容词、副词、介词短语等。例如:
The man is a science teacher.
Mary's new dresses are colourful.
Mother is in the kitchen now.
I have been there before.
They shall be here at 10:00 tommorow.
That can't be true.
You are not being very polite.
Your brother is being very annoying this evening
2、be 动词的一般疑问句,方法是把be 移到主语前面,也可说成是移到句首。
Is the man a science teacher? Yes, he is. / No, he isn't.
Are Mary's new dresses colourful? Yes, they are. / No, they aren't.
Was mother in the kitchen then? Yes, she was. / No, she wasn't.
Were you at home the day before yesterday? Yes, I was. / No, I wasn't.
Was she late this morning? Yes, she was. / No, she wasn't.
3、be 动词用在特殊疑问句
在特殊疑问句里,be 动词仍然移到主语前面,但特殊疑问句是以特殊疑问词开头的,所以be 动词只能说是移到主语前面,或者说是在特殊疑问词的后面。例如:
Whose bike is broken? Xiao Ming's bike is.
Who was singing in the room? Mr. Zhang was.
Where are you from? I am from Wuhu.
What class were you in? We were in Class 2.
How old is Tom? He is ten.
4、be 动词的否定句
be 动词做谓语时,它的否定形式是在be 后加not,并且可以缩写。例如:
It is not sunny today.
Tom and his friends are not in the park.
You were not nine years old when I went to the university.
He was not often late for his class when he was a student.
I wasn't here yesterday.
My parents weren't at home last Sunday.
5、be 动词的祈使句
be 动词的祈使句有肯定和否定两种形式。肯定形式是以be 动词开头,而否定形式或强调句形,要加don't 或do。例如:
Be careful!
Be a good boy!
Don't be silly!
Don't be a fool!
Do be obedient!
Do be careful.
二、be 动词做助动词
助动词be 有两个基本用法,一是与谓语动词一起构成各种时态,二是构成被动语态。
“be + 现在分词组”成各种进行式时态。例如:
Tony's maid is washing his new car.
The children are playing in the field.
Samuel was eating when I came in.
We have been living here since 1959.
This time next day they will be sitting in the cinema.
英语动名词的用法:
一、动名词的简介
动名词既具有动词的性质,又具有名词的性质,因此叫动名词。
1.动名词的动词性质表现在,它可以组成动名词短语,如:
My job is arranging the agenda for my boss.
我的工作是为老板安排日程。
I finished the project in a month by working overtime.
我靠加班在一个月内做完了这个项目。
2.动名词的名词性质表现在,它可以在句中用作主语、宾语等,如:
Studying abroad can be a good experience.
留学是一种很好的经历。(作主语)做主语
I regret telling her the truth.
我后悔告诉她事实真相了。(作宾语)
二、动名词的形式和特征
1.动名词的主动形式:doing
2.动名词的被动形式:being done
3.动名词的复合结构:形容词性物主代词/名词所有格/名词/宾格人称代词+动名词
She suggested us forgiving him.
她建议我们原谅他。(作宾语)
His not knowing English brought him a lot of inconvenience.
他不懂英语,这给他带来许多麻烦。(作主语)
Our only worry is George's overestimating himself.
我们担心的就是乔治高估了他自己。(作表语)
I strongly object to your delivering the speech.
我强烈反对你发表讲话。(作介词宾语)
三、动名词的用法
1.动名词作主语
Retelling stories is very useful.
复述故事是很有用的。
Her resigning surprises us.
她的辞职让我们很惊讶。
在一些句子中,常用it作形式主语,将动名词放在句子后面。
此类句型有:
It is + no use/no good/no fun/a great pleasure/a waste of time等名词+doing sth.
It is no good crying.
哭没有好处。
It is no use fixing.
修也没有用。
It is great fun traveling.
旅行很有趣。
It is a waste of time playing computer games.
电脑游戏是浪费时间。
It is + useless+ doing sth.
It is useless crying.
哭没有用。
2.动名词作表语
Seeing is believing.
百闻不如一见。
My idea is making a plan first.
我的想法是先做一个计划出来。
3.动名词作宾语
动名词既可作动词宾语也可作介词宾语,如:
I haven't finished reading today's newspaper.
我还没读完今天的报纸。(动名词reading作动词finish的宾语)
I'm afraid of going to the dentist.
我害怕去看牙医。(动名词going作介词of的宾语)
4.动名词作定语
I would like to choose a house with a swimming pool.
我想选个带游泳池的房子。
英语动词语法点:
1、正确理解状态动词。
正确理解状态动词。因为状态是强调主语是什么或怎么样。例如,Tom在房间里,学生翻译成:Tom in his room.这就说明没有养成良好的学习习惯;
2、 熟练运用非行为动词。
动词大致可分为四类:系动词、情态动词、助动词和行为动词。但是前三类动词的用法可以说基本上雷同,所以完全可以归为一类。如果学生把非行为动词的用法熟记于心,那么在阅读和写作中就会得心应手了。
3、熟记动词句型。
所谓动词句型,就是以动词为中心的短语,如want (sb.) to do sth, let sb. do sth, look forward to doing, Ittakes sb. some time to do sth.等。这样的句型学生必须牢记。否则的话,做练习或考试时就很困难,书面表达中就无法写出正确的句子来。
4、熟记短语动词。
英语中短语动词太多太多,只有日积月累,才能学有余力。每天务必记住当天所学的短语动词。只有这样才能做好练习,应付测试,写好作文,才能熟练地与他人进行交流沟通
5、认真揣摩动作所发生的时间,运用相应的时态。
很多学生受汉语影响,不能从汉语句子的字面上去揣摩动作所发生的时间。
