Nowadays the jet plane is considered to be one of the most important andinfluential inventions in the world. To what extent do you agree or disagree with thisopinion?

Since jet plane appeared in the 1950s，it has had some revolutionary effects. Manypeople are of the opinion that it is one of the most important and influentialinventions in the world. Some others, however, disagree with them. It seems quiteclear to me that one of the most important and influential inventions in the world hasbeen the development of jet plane. My arguments for this point are listed as follows.
Another reason why I advocate the attitude is that jet travel is relatively cheap. Aninternational journey one hundred years ago was extremely expensive. Only wealthypeople could afford to travel comfortably in first class. Poor people had to save foryears to purchase a ticket，and the conditions in which they traveled were not verygood. Today it is possible for more and more people in every country to travel incomfort. Thus it is possible for business people to do business all over the world, forstudents to attend universities in other countries, and for tourists to take vacationsanywhere in the world.
For the reasons presented above, I strongly commit to the notion that jet plane isone of the most important and influential inventions in the world. The speed and lowcost of jet travel have changed the world. Individual nations are not as isolated asthey were in the past，and people now think of the whole planet as they oncethought of their own hometowns.

原因之一是乘喷气式飞机旅行为我们带来方便的同时，也提高了我们的效率。100年前，乘船穿越大西洋或太平洋需要几周的时间。而今天，同样的旅行大约几个小时就可以完成。一个人在同一天可以在巴黎开会而在纽约享用晚餐。这些令人惊异的速度已经改变了人们对空间的概念。当今，世界比过去更小了。
我赞成这个观点的另一个原因是乘喷气式飞机旅行相对便宜些。100年前一次国际旅行的费用是相当昂贵的。只有有钱人才能够支付得起舒适的旅行。穷人不得不用几年的积蓄来买一张票，而且他们旅途中的条件并不是很好。如今，各国越来越多的人能够舒适地旅行。因此，商人可以在世界范围内做生意、学生可以到其他国家的大学学习、旅游者可以在世界范围的州可一个角落度假，这些都有可能实现。
